I am in our nation's capital, right near the Capitol. I'm holed up at the Hyatt Regency at the Kennedy Center Educational Partners Annual Meeting. I have been going to lots of really long meetings--like 4 hour long meetings. And then a meeting afterwards to discuss the meeting, then another meeting to discuss the discussion of the 4 hour long meeting. I am schmoozing around with lots of really sharp people, and I am trying to act like a grownup to the best of my ability.
Now I have to primp because I'm going to the Kennedy Center to see the Alvin Ailey dancers and have dinner. Whee!

Nice - I always feel grown up when I go to the Kennedy Center!
Lovely Lisa! I've missed you.
The Alvin Ailey concert was amazing, and I feel very spoiled by all the fancy schmancy treatment we are receiving, but I am counting the minutes until I get home.
If you get the chance go eat at Equinox - the best meal - the manager's name is Travis - tell him I sent you and you will get a table. 818 Conneticut ave NW
JB you are my beeline to the A List!
Awww, back atcha.
Here's a question for you. Need a tasty hot cocoa - I know, easy, but I've only ever used the Swiss Miss packets. We're going to Massanutten next weekend, and I thought it would be fun to have "For Real" hot cocoa and maybe smores by the fire. Discuss.
Maybe it's an occasion to splurge on something. I bet one of the snooty grocery stores would have a gourmet mix. OR--what about going to a chocolate boutique, like For the Love of Chocolate in Carytown? I betcha they have something lovely. And make it with fatty milk, not skim.
~Alvin Ailey~
~I saw them many moons ago~ when they were here in Richmond @ the Mosque in the 80's~
~Then later in my life~ I had the pleasure of working on a set for them~
~Lovely~
They were amazing. And I will sound like a dirty old tart, but oh my goodness, those men's butts. I could have taken a bite, I swear.
